Julie is currently serving in her first year of her first term as County Recorder. She served as our county's Clerk for 8 years and as Deputy Clerk for 6 years. She also has 6 years experience as a legal secretary. Julie and her husband, Bobby, reside in Freedom and have five children and currently own and operate Juliebobs, an antique store on the north side of the Spencer Courthouse square. She is the daughter of Dean and the late Richard Collins of Gosport. She is a graduate of Owen Valley High School. She serves as a Precinct Committeeperson for the Franklin I precinct and has served as Vice-Chairwoman of the Owen County Democratic Party. She has attended several annual meetings of the Indiana Election Division and was recipient of the 2002 Marlene Sutton Award for Excellence in Election Administration. She is also past President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Southern District Clerk's Association.
