Isn't 2008's election exciting? How often does Indiana get so much attention during the Presidential primary season?
Here is a link to a good overview video of Indiana by CNN:

Many of you have asked for information regarding visits by the Presidential candidates and signs/literature from each campaign. The Owen County Democratic Party is not endorsing any candidate in the Primary, but you can obtain information directly from the campaigns using the following links. Each has an Indiana-themed webpage:
Senator Barack Obama:

Senator Hillary Clinton:

Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and their family members, will be visiting Indiana multiple times between now and the May 6th primary. Unfortunately, the exact details of their events are usually not known until the last minute, usually for security reasons. We will attempt to share any information we hear of via e-mail.
Also this year is our Governor's race. The candidate we pick, either Jill Long-Thompson, or Jim Schellinger, will be the next Governor of Indiana. Our state cannot afford 4 more years of Mitchell Daniels.
Here are links to each Governor candidates' webpages:
Jim Schellinger:

Regardless of which Democratic candidates you vote for this primary season, remember our goal is to WIN in November. We can't lose sight of what we are trying to change and by electing Democrats from the County Council all the way up to President, we will accomplish our goals! |
