If you are a resident of the Town of Gosport and a voter/member of the Democratic party, we invite you to participate in our Democratic Town Convention.
It will be held on Thursday, August 16th, at the Gosport Community Center/Building on the north side of the Gosport Elementary School parking lot, Gosport.
The convention will be called to order at 7:00PM EDT sharp--NO EXCEPTIONS.
Prior to 7:00PM, each person wishing to participate in the convention will need to "check-in" by having their name verified with the voter list (that we will have as provided by the County Clerk) and also sign an affidavit stating that they are both a resident of the Town of Gosport and a a registered Democratic voter and/or member of the Democratic party.
Once 7:00PM arrives, registration will be closed. Anyone not registered by 7:00PM, or who arrives after 7:00PM, will not be allowed to participate. So, it is important to check in early.
Candidates will be allowed up to 5 minutes to speak and voting will follow. The whole process should take 45 minutes.
