If you are a resident of the Town of Spencer and a voter/member of the Democratic party, we invite you to participate in our Democratic Town Convention.
It will be held on Saturday, August 4th, at our Democratic headquarters on east Jefferson Street, Spencer.
The convention will be called to order at 9:30AM EDT sharp--NO EXCEPTIONS.
Prior to 9:30AM, each person wishing to participate in the convention will need to "check-in" by having their name verified with the voter list (that we will have as provided by the County Clerk) and also sign an affidavit stating that they are both a resident of the Town of Spencer and a a registered Democratic voter and/or member of the Democratic party.
Once 9:30AM arrives, registration will be closed. Anyone not registered by 9:30AM, or who arrives after 9:30AM, will not be allowed to participate. So, it is important to check in early.
Candidates will be allowed up to 5 minutes to speak and voting will follow. The whole process should take 45 minutes.
