Democrats held a successful and well attended Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner in Spencer Saturday, April 9th with close to 150 people. The event featured guest speaker, Dan Parker, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party. A special presentation by members of the FFA was a great addition to our program. They made a presentation showing how they conduct one of their business meetings. Our State Representative, Vern Tincher, spoke and was given a warm return welcome as our representative. Several guests from surrounding counties came to visit and share in the fun as well.

We thank Lois Bixler and her team who prepared a great meal.

We thank Larry Newton for chairing our JJ Dinner Support Committee. His help, along with several volunteers: Amy & Larry Newton, Jr., Nina Newton, Lacey Newton, Harley & Janice Melton, Brian Crowe, Bob Siscoe, Fred Drescher, Debbie Foutch, Frank and Brenda Nardi, along with David Nardi, is very much appreciated.

We thank everyone who donated door prizes for those attending and thank everyone who stayed after the dinner to mingle and help with clean up.

We truly appreciate the help of all of our party officials who sold tickets and helped support the party. Our fundraiser was successful--with a special Quilt donation from the Clay County Democrats represented by Tom Arthur, Mayor of Brazil, and Garry Wolfe.

Check out our website for pictures from our event--you might just be in one of them!
