Democrats Have Long List of Prize Winners From the Fair |

The Owen County Democrats had a booth space at the Owen County Fair once again to encourage folks to get interested in the political process and give them a chance to meet our candidates. Many of our candidates, party officials, and supporters donated a lot of time, in many ways, to make our fair efforts successful! A new activity this year was fair parking. Verl Nicholson, Liz Shields, Marvin Newland, Paul Fowler, JoAnn Ligon, and Bob Siscoe were out in the hot sun for several hours parking cars. Bob Siscoe was the 2004 Fair Activities Committee Chairman this year. He did an outstanding job coordinating everything for us and he has agreed to do it again next year! We truly appreciate all of the time and resources everyone had put into our fair activities. Several daily free prizes were donated and we have several winners. The free prize winners (in no particular order) are: John Shafer, Doris Newton, Brittany Lunsford, Don Taylor Jr., Kay Meier, Shirley Sherfield, Destiny Pye, Elizabeth Helderman, Rosie Bean, R Nelson Peterson, Don Campbell, Sherri Lucas, Tyler Hendrix, Pat Figg, Ryan Hendrix, Carl Roach, Regina Roberts, Tanner Taylor, Linda St. John, Greg Goss, and Tevin Roberts. Our 4th Annual "To Cook Or Not To Cook?" Raffle had a lot of entries. We thank everyone who helped sell and buy tickets for us. The grand prize winner of the $300 Babbs Grocery Gift Certificate is Linda St. John. Our Dinner winners were Carol Schepers and Chuck Cooper. Congratulations to all of our winners--we are looking forward to another great year! |
