The Indiana Primary Election is over! Many thanks go to everyone who helped make our Election Day activities run smoothly at our headquarters. Debbie Foutch and JoAnn Ligon were our Committee Co-Chairpersons. There were so many folks who chipped in several ways to help by either donating food, money, supplies, and/or manpower. We wish we could list everyone individually, but we would leave several people out by accident. The Headquarters clean up Committee was chaired by Brian Crowe and about a dozen people were on hand to set us up for Tuesday. We appreciate everyone's help and hope to have another successful day in November. The results of Tuesday's Primary Election and lots of pictures will be posted in the next day or two on this website.

To highlight our local races, Democrat Commissioner candidates will race against two new Republican faces as their party soundly ousted both incumbent Commissioners. Lowell Simpson will face Steve Redenbaugh in District 2 and Doug Dalton will face Steve Williamson in District 3.

Mark Snapp, Andy Cradick, and Rex St. John will challenge incumbent Republican Council Members at-large, Mike Wood, Patty Edwards, and Donnie Hall.

Auditor candidates Lois Bixler and Angie Lawson have been paired since candidate filings opened in February. Both were unopposed in the primary.

At the state level, Vern Tincher will face Jeffrey Lee for State Rep, District 46, and Kristin Szczerbik will face Richard Bray for State Senate, District 37. Governor Joe Kernan will be challenged by former Bush Budget Director, Deficit Mitchell Daniels.

At the Federal level, Senator Evan Bayh is being challenged by Marvin Scott and Jon Jennings will face incumbent Congressman, John Hostettler. Last, but not least--John Kerry will face President George W. Bush at the top of the ticket.
