In no time at all, the Primary Election will be held across our state. Many voters do not wish to participate in Primaries for various reasons; however, many just don't feel it is important to them. We couldn't disagree more with this statement! The Primary exists for an important reason--because we have a 2-party government and because each party often has more than one person interested in running for elected office. The Primary is each party's way of selecting their candidates to represent the party in the November General Election. We encourage everyone to participate in the May 4th primary because who we select in May will impact our performance in November. Please vote and please vote wisely! Our list of candidates is on our website and more detailed information about them will be published in the Spencer Evening World newspaper next week. Please feel free to contact them or members of our party if you need additional information. Please join us all day starting at 6:00am for good food, fun, and election results at the Democrat Headquarters. We're located at 150 East Jefferson Street in Spencer. |
