David has been practicing law since 1986 and is currently a Deputy Prosecutor for the Owen County Prosecutor's Office. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville and his law degree from The University of Louisville. He and his family moved to Owen County in 2003 from Jackson County where David was involved in the Democratic Party as Treasurer and Vice Chair. He and his wife Peggy have been active Democrats for a long time and have served as Delegates to the State Convention. The Gohns have two children in college. David's hobbies include reading, biking, writing music and working in his apple orchard in rural Owen County .
